A Lovely Boho Wedding with Penny the Photo Bus

Some weddings feel beautiful, some feel joyful… and then there are weddings like Carissa and Jorge’s that somehow managed to be both. Their wedding at The LaBelle Group was filled with thoughtful details, tropical beauty, and so much joy. From the open-air chapel to the celebration that followed, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple. And when Penny joined the party, guests couldn’t wait to start making memories of their own. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day at this lovely boho wedding with Penny the Photo Bus.

As we arrived at the venue, the owners told us where our spot would be for the day. And as we made our way down the long dirt road, we had no idea of what was waiting for us once we reached the back entrance. We knew Carissa and Jorge had planned an incredible day, but we weren’t prepared for how perfectly everything would come together.

The moment that Penny rolled into her designated spot, we knew how perfect this day was going to be for her. Penny was nestled beside the open-air chapel, which was surrounded by towering tropical greenery. Penny looked gorgeous… like she had been designed specifically for this wedding. The white chapel, soft boho details, pampas grass, warm neutral tones, and lush Florida landscape created the dreamiest backdrop for Carissa and Jorge’s wedding. If Penny were able to smile, I feel like she would have been smiling, for sure!

The Calm Before “I Do”

One of our favorite parts of any wedding day is arriving early. It allows us plenty of time to get Penny photo-booth-ready, before the guests arrive. Even more, it also gives us time to soak in the atmosphere and reconnect with fellow wedding vendors that we may have worked with before. Those little moments of catching up with vendors, before the day begins, are some of our favorite moments.

Then, as we were putting the finishing touches on Penny, the bride and her girls stepped outside for portraits…and WOW! Carissa was absolutely stunning. There is something so special about seeing a bride for the first time on her wedding day. The excitement, the anticipation, the joy… it never gets old.

A Ceremony Full of Joy

The ceremony itself was one of the most joyful we’ve witnessed. You could feel how deeply loved Carissa and Jorge are. Their guests cheered, laughed, clapped, and even a few may have cried. And when it was finally time for that first kiss as husband and wife, the entire chapel erupted in celebration. The energy was contagious.

As the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, their guests practically danced out behind them. It was the kind of moment that reminds you exactly what weddings are all about. All the love in that chapel was palpable.

But, for us (and Penny), we had a front row view of the ceremony, from where we were located for the day. We sat inside of Penny and took it all in. We are so thankful for such wonderful families who invite us to be a part of their special day.

Cocktails, Celebration, and a White Horse

After the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour while portraits were being taken. (And surprise, Carissa even took photos with her beloved white horse!!). When her photographer shared the photos of Carissa and her horse, they looked like something straight out of a storybook. Stunning!

Every part of the day reflected who Carissa and Jorge are, which is one of our favorite things to see as wedding professionals. The most memorable weddings aren’t the ones that follow every trend. They’re the ones that feel deeply personal… And this wedding was exactly that.

When Penny Finally Got Her Turn

Throughout the ceremony and dinner, Penny waited patiently… quietly… beautifully. She was ready for her moment. Then dinner ended, the music turned up and Penny came to life.

Guests started climbing inside one after another, grabbing props, squeezing together, laughing until they almost cried. The guests were creating photo strips that would become keepsakes long after the wedding day was over.

Then our very favorite thing happened, that we see at all of Penny’s weddings. People came back. Not just one more time… but again, and again, and again.

Friends brought friends, families returned for another round, bridesmaids gathered everyone together, and guests who had never even met ended up taking photos side-by-side. Penny became more than entertainment. She became the memory maker… A place where lifelong memories were made.

Why We Love What We Do

One of our favorite things about Penny isn’t the vintage charm or the beautiful photos that she creates. It’s what happens inside of her. For just a few minutes, people put down their phones, they squeeze together, they laugh, and they become fully present.

Then, years later, when they find that photo strip tucked inside a drawer, a scrapbook, or a frame, they’re instantly taken back to that exact moment. That’s what makes weddings so special. And that’s why we love being a part of them.
